Honoring Radio Legends

One of the great privileges of my life was hosting this event that featured a century's worth of storytelling from two amazing radio personalities. The sold-out evening with John Moser and 'Uncle' Bill McCollum was held at the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre Fine Arts Center in May of 2019. WBA Local Legend recipients Moser and McCollum spend the evening telling the stories they can't tell on the air.

Gary Macheel discusses his 30-year career in Hollywood in sound design and editing. During that time, he received eight Emmy’s and eleven Golden Reel Awards. Macheel's work can be heard in movies like Big Trouble In Little China and Back To The Future, along with television mini-series including the Tuskegee Airmen and Lonesome Dove. The 1970 graduate of Beaver Dam High School is visiting him hometown as the weekend sees him inducted as an outstanding alumnus.
